Why did you choose MD+I?
I have often grappled with “what” I want to do or be, but I have always been able to anchor into “how” to do it and the impact I want to have. As I turned my sights to grad school, I spent years looking through a myriad of programs – from MBAs to specialized master’s programs – and both felt either too broad or too narrow. When I found MDI, it felt right becasue it gave me a very specialized perspective that I can to bring to many different industries and roles.
What is your favorite part of MD+I so far?
The flexibility of the program has allowed many of us to choose a path curated to our own talents and aspirations. The program prepares you to tackle a vast array of business and societal challenges, and I am excited to ebb and flow my career around those foundational design principles.
What kinds of professional and personal trajectories are you setting for yourself at the moment? Where do you hope to go after graduation?
I love bringing clarity and simplicity to the complex. In my career, I am looking for ways to bridge the gaps between creativity, storytelling, and design and the quantitative, techie world of software and big data. From consulting, to in-house innovation teams, I could be pulled in any number of directions, but I am looking for people and organizations that aren’t afraid to color outside the lines and take a radically new approach to solve age-old problems.
